Camera Operator | Assistant
I am freelance Camera Operator Assistant and Digital Imaging Technician with a diverse range of experience and knowledge covering both production and post production. My fascination with cameras, photography and technology, as well as my versatility, adaptability and diligence, has allowed me to work on a variety of projects all over the world.
I have experience working with and operating the latest digital cinema cameras, camera grip, including jibs, cranes and stabilised gimbals, motion controlled time lapses, operating drones and recording sound.
My most recent projects include National Geographic's 10 part series 'One Strange Rock'. Working as part of the on location crew from principal photography and shooting Phantom Flex, RED and time lapses, as well as assisting the DOP's with more complex jib and gimbal rigs. Assignments included filming and time-lapsing glacier calving in Svalbard, time-lapsing glow worms in the depths of Waitomo caves in New Zealand and filming at La Rinconada, in Peru, the highest permanent settlement in the world.
I work well under pressure, thrive when working as part of team and enjoy travelling. I am always trying to develop my skills and abilities and aim to pursue that through working on documentaries and natural history; which for me are always the most rewarding and satisfying projects.
